Accomodations:
Two dormitories, one for men and one for women.
Stairs/Ambulatory:
Facility is accessible to individuals with mobility impairments.
Age:
18 or over or emancipated minor.
Type of Supervision:
At least two staff on duty 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Residents must be able to take their own medication without being monitored for compliance.
Lenght of Stay:
On a night to night basis for 1-45 days.
Household Responsibility:
Residents must be able to maintain their own area (bed, floor, locker) in a clean and presentable fashion. Residents must complete one chore in the morning and one in the evening which range from taking plates and silverware out for dinner to mopping the floors.
Transportation:
Staff will assist residents in obtaining transportation as needed. Bus tickets for meetings or appointments are available to individuals who have no income.
Activities offered:
Staff work with residents to obtain financial benefits, medical and mental health treatment, alternative housing and other services as appropriate. Residents are encouraged to participate in daytime activities but no one is required to leave the premises during daytime hours. On-site pay phone, business phone, and free laundry facilities are available.
Referral Process:
Referrals may be made by phone. Staff will ask referring source all of the questions on the intake form.
Family Involvement:
Family involvement is strongly encouraged to facilitate use of support systems.
